It shows two constables of the DMP with top hats and frock-coats,—before the introduction of the helmet. The police "boy" is the infant son of the late Commissioner Lake of the DMP. The photo is about 110 years old. It was loaned to Garda Review by Inspector M. Francis, Kevin Street, DMA.
